背棘 (总数) : 0; 背的软条 (总数) : 15 - 16; 臀棘: 0; 臀鳍软条: 13 - 15. Body covered with prickles. Yellowish-brown or greenish brown with many round white spots dorsally. An irregular small black blotch on side just behind pectoral fin. A longitudinal yellow band running on ventrolateral part of body from corner of mouth to lower base of caudal fin (Ref. 559).
