Espinas dorsales (total) : 15 - 17; Radios blandos dorsales (total) : 7 - 9; Espinas anales: 3; Radios blandos anales: 4 - 6; Vértebra: 27 - 29. Spines on lateral surface of the lachrymal present but none on the lateral surface of the first suborbital bone (Ref. 41496). Dorsal fin membranes not incised; second and third spines not especially elongate relative to the succeeding ones. Third infraorbital bone with a lump on lateral face. Minute stubby papillae covering premaxillary and anterior part of lower jaw (Ref. 35987).
Inhabits continental edges.
