Wide-set eyes, interorbital distance 38.9-47.5% HL. Head with gently-sloping lateral margins. A broadly rounded snout when viewed dorsally (Ref. 37794).
Occurs in streams in upland area with relatively fast flowing water, usually among submerged vegetation or under logs (Ref. 56749).
