Etymology: Allomicrodesmus: Greek, allos = other + Greek, mikros = little + Greek, desmos = link, bond (Ref. 45335).
Eponymy: Dorothea Bowers Schultz was the wife of the author Dr Leonard Peter Schultz (1901–1986). She illustrated many of the new species in his monograph (though not this wriggler). (Ref. 128868), visit book page.
