Épines dorsales (Total) : 10; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total) : 28 - 31; Épines anales: 2; Rayons mous anaux: 7; Vertèbres: 25. Swim bladder hammer-shaped with a series of arborescent appendages along its sides. Lower jaw with a row of enlarged teeth. Jaws short. Last pleural rib on the 11th vertebra.
Found in muddy and sandy-muddy bottoms (Ref. 43239).
