Posterior edge of skull arching backward. Upper part of cleithrum completely exposed, not concealed with fleshy appendage. No respiratory groove between upper part of cleithrum and pectoral fin. A dermal fold absent on midventral margin of belly (Ref 42788).
Inhabits trawling grounds.
