Duri punggung (Keseluruhan (total)) : 4 - 5; duri punggung lunak (Keseluruhan (total)) : 7 - 9; Duri dubur: 0; Sirip dubur lunak: 12 - 13. Gill rakers in first lower, 14-15, gill arch less than half the diameter of pupil but longer than in other species of this genus.
Found in mangrove swamps and may provide food for young of commercially important species. Nothing is known of the biology of this species of which only two specimens are presently known (Ref. 9786).
