पृष्ठीय रीढ़ (सम्पूर्ण) : 9; पृष्ठीय सौफट रेज़ (सम्पूर्ण) : 11; गुदा कांटा: 0; ऐनल सौफट रेज़: 11. Preopercle with a small antrorse spine. Infraorbital and suborbital ridges bearing many fine serrations. Preocular spines 2-3. Lower side of head bicarinate. Iris lappet slightly bilobed. (Ref. 9790).

Found in sandy areas of lagoons and seaward reefs. Usually caught with trawls in deeper water (Ref 90102).
