meaning stingray, in allusion to the short, semi-rigid tails of these stingrays; javaensis: Named for its type locality and regional occurrence, off the coast of Java, Indonesia..
Environment: milieu / climate zone / depth range / distribution range
Ecology

Eastern Indian Ocean: Indonesia.
Length at first maturity / Size / Weight / Age
Maturity: Lm ?  range ? - 18 cm
Max length : 21.2 cm WD male/unsexed; (Ref. 114953); 23.4 cm WD (female)
