Dorsal soft rays (total): 91; Anal soft rays: 69. Body with no conspicuous spots on dorsal and anal fins. Head length, 4.28 in SL. Maxillary extends slightly beyond the anterior margin of the lower eye; 2.64 in HL. Long, slender, non-serrated gill-rakers on first arch. Prevomer tip not projecting into the mouth cavity. Deciduous scales; ctenoid on ocular side; cycloid on blind side.
