Description of culture system |
Floating cages constructed of medang wood (Litsea spp.) and in two rows of 9 and 11 cages respectively, lying parallel to river bank. Cage station anchored to river bank of Mahakam river in town of Kota Bangun, East Kalimantan. The river is large and swift-flowing (600-6000 cu. m., 0.6-0.8 m/sec.). Water quality is good. |
