This movement is initially influenced by the eastward-flowing Leeuwin Current (Ref. 27977). Some also disperse northwards along the New South Wales coast. Juveniles of 5-8 cm FL appear in South Australian bays and inlets between July and September (Ref. 27960, 27977), and in Victorian and Tasmanian waters between August and October (Ref. 27960, 27967, 27977, 740).
