Etymology: Alticorpus: Latin, altus = nutritious + Latin, corpus = body (Ref. 45335); geoffreyi: Named after Geoffrey Fryer, who worked on several aspects of the fishes of Lake Malawi, but is most renown for his pioneering work on the rock-dwelling communities (Ref. 55908).
Environment: milieu / climate zone / depth range / distribution range
Ecology
Freshwater; benthopelagic; depth range 18 - 150 m (Ref. 55908). Tropical
Africa: endemic to Lake Malawi, widely distributed (Ref. 55463).
Size / Weight / Age
Maturity: Lm ?  range ? - ? cm

50 = 0.5312 [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.01514 (0.00700 - 0.03275), b=2.97 (2.80 - 3.14), in cm total length, based on LWR estimates for this (Sub)family-body shape (Ref.

Trophic level (Ref.
69278): 2.7 ±0.2 se; based on size and trophs of closest relatives
Resilience (Ref.
120179): High, minimum population doubling time less than 15 months (Preliminary K or Fecundity.).
Fishing Vulnerability (Ref.
