Dorsal soft rays (total): 12 - 13; Anal soft rays: 8. This species is characterized by the following:12-30) occasionally narrow and interconnected irregular bars separated by a distinctly yellow stripe from an irregular middorsal stripe or a series of blotches; without small tubercles on branched ray 1 of the male pectoral fin; one row of spots on the caudal fin (Ref. 132199).
