Prefers a wide range of velocities between 0.8-2 m/s; over small rocks or pebbles and big rocks and at depths of between 20-60 cm. Optimal habitat preferred is at 60 cm depth and water velocity at 1.6 m/s with a substrate of small rocks (Ref. 42926).
