Asia: known only from a small, unnamed stream flowing through Minimaru Coloniya in Pallegama Estate near Galapitamada, Sri Lanka.

Inhabits small, rocky stream flowing through rice field and rubber plantation (Ref. 11966). Found under leaves and among emersed vegetation in shallow water (<20 cm) on the margins of the stream.
