Dorsal spines (total): 0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 6 - 7; Anal soft rays: 4 - 6; Vertebrae: 36 - 38. Belongs to the Oreoglanis siamensis species group as it possesses a distinct median notch on the posterior margin of the lower lip. Can be distinguished from other members of the genus in having a combination of the following characters: short nasal barbel reaching to midway between its base and anterior orbital margin, maxillary barbel with rounded tip, length of adipose-fin base 30.7-38.1 % SL, caudal peduncle length 19.2-24.9 % SL, eye diameter 8.9-15.3 % HL, and a lunate caudal fin having upper and lower first principal rays of approximately equal length (Ref. 83406).
Occurs in rocky, fast-flowing streams (Ref. 83406).
