This species is distinguished by the following characters: no spine on adipose fin; maxillary barbel extending beyond the oral disk; first pectoral radius longer than head longitude; soft branching radii 6, associated to the third radial; first radius of pelvic fin does not beyond the anus; premaxillary with 6-13 bicuspid teeth in the outermost row; first simple radii of caudal fin no extension; fifth cerato-branchial bone with 7 teeth in the anterior region; free vertebrae 27 (Ref. 126791).
