Dorsal soft rays (total): 15 - 18; Anal soft rays: 18 - 21; Vertebrae: 36. Slender males with red spots on the head. Dorsal-fin rays 16-18 in males, 15-17 in females; anal-fin rays 19-21 in males, 18-19 in females; caudal-fin rays 28-30. Caudal and pectoral fins rounded. Snout slightly pointed with lower jaw slightly elongated. Supraorbital neuromasts 30-35 (Ref. 40938).
