Etymology: Krusensterniella: Because of Krusenstern, hydrogapher, cartographer with Lisianski; they were the first Russians to circumnavegate the globe. He gave the name to Cook islands in 1824 and travelled to establish diplomatic and commercial relations with Japan in 1806.
