Indo-Pacific: Seychelles, Mauritius (Cargados Carajos Shoals) and Western Australia; Japan (Ryukyu Islands), Palau, across Micronesia through islands of Oceania to French Polynesia (Rapa) and Pitcairn Islands. Apparently not occurring in Indonesia, Philippines, and New Guinea.
