Vertebrae: 135. This small and moderately elongate species possess the following characters: tail 58% and head 9.4% of TL; the fourth supraorbital pore is adjacent to, above and behind posterior nostril; biserial teeth in jaws, uniserial on vomer; reddish brown in colour, overlain with a faint irregular stellate spot pattern posteriorly; head pores in small white spots, along lower half of flanks with pale spots , posterior half of body diffuse white bands, tail tip white; vertebrae, predorsal 122, preanal 127 and total 35 (Ref. 56888).
