Diagnosis: buccal disk large and rounded; mandibular barbels short, no auxiliary barbels; premaxillary teeth large, arranged in 4-5 rows; 8+8 mandibular teeth; adipose fin short; caudal fin deeply forked; eyes not very large (Ref. 57223).
Coloration: similar to that of Chiloglanis lamottei: body covered with numerous small dark spots, more or less uniformly distributed on dorsal surface (Ref. 57223).
