Short description
Identification keys | Morphology | Morphometrics
Dorsal soft rays (total): 12; Anal soft rays: 8. Differs from congeners by the combination of the following characters: caudal fin with 9+8 branched rays; males possess suborbital flap (absent in females); lateral line ends above base of anal fin; caudal fin hyaline; and bars on posterior half of body more than twice as wide as interspaces (Ref. 83421).
At the time of sampling, the type locality was a stream with width up to 8 m, but the riverbed would allow a 20 m wide river at high water level, and with calm stretches, depression up to 1 m deep as well as riffles. Riffle consisted of gravel with few larger stones and maximum water depth of 40 cm (Ref. 83421).
