Diagnosis: Males with body sides greenish blue, with dark red crimson pigmentation concentrated on the exposed margin of each flank scale, producing a reticulate color pattern; a black and light blue spot on the anterior part of dorsal fin; dorsal and anal fins fan-shaped. Dorsal fin-rays 23-25 in males and 13-15 in females; fin origin between neural spines of fourth and fifth vertebrae in males. Anal fins 21-22 in males, 18 in females (Ref. 52309).
