Black spot with yellow border on spinous dorsal; caudal fin with pale margin and narrow pale band near base; pectoral fin dusky with iridescent blue margin, sometimes with several blue spots anteriorly near margin (Ref. 12723).
Inhabits coastal reefs and estuaries; also offshore (Ref. 12723). Found on rubble and sand (Ref. 12723).
