Dorsal soft rays (total): 12 - 15; Anal soft rays: 14 - 21; Vertebrae: 37 - 41. Horizontal diameter of eye more than 5% of SL; ceratobranchial 5 with about 8-10 large conical teeth; total rakers on first gill arch 10-12.
Occur in the main stream of middle Mekong. Usually taken incidentally in haul seines and trap catches. Not seen in markets (Ref. 12693).
