Ecology
Marine; bathypelagic; depth range 600 - 1500 m (Ref. 4460). Deep-water; 40°N - 24°N, 18°W - 11°W (Ref. 57339)
Eastern Atlantic: off Azores Island, and from Western Sahara south to Angola. Elsewhere, tropical western Atlantic and Indian Ocean off Saya-de-Malha Bank and Broken Ridge. Probably occurring in the Western Central Pacific (Ref. 38717).

Benthic to benthopelagic (Ref. 51024). Found on the continental slope (Ref. 75154).
