Report from the Malagarasi in Tanzania (Ref. 4967, 93960) is unconfirmed (Ref. 54847) and probably erroneous.

Eye diameter/head length 36-50% (Ref. 80290) or 35.6-46.8 (Ref. 74421). 17-19 (Ref. 80290) or 16-19 (Ref. 74421) anal fin branched rays.
