Identification keys | Morphology | Morphometrics
Dorsal spines (total): 0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10; Anal spines: 0; Anal soft rays: 9. Diagnosis: body depth 6.5-7 times in TL; head length 5-5.5 times in TL; head 2-2.5 times longer than wide (Ref. 42540, 46251). Head depth equals head width (Ref. 46251). Eye perfectly lateral, 3-3.25 times in head length (Ref. 42540, 46251). Interorbital width 2/5 of head length (Ref. 46251). Dorsal fin origin above pelvic fin origin (Ref. 42540, 46251), at equal distance from anterior border or center of eye and caudal fin (Ref. 46251). Anal fin equidistant from pelvic and caudal fin origin; pectoral fin length 2/3 of head length; caudal fin lobes pointed; caudal peduncle 2 times longer than deep; scales very small (Ref. 46251). Body yellowish, back with small black dots; lateral line with black lateral band from middle of body to caudal peduncle (Ref. 42540, 46251).
