| Remarks | Abstract: This paper confirms the presence of Macrourus holotrachys Gunther, 1878, in marine waters of Chile. This species had been reported from different localities, but the previous confusion with its close relative Macrourus carinatus (Gunther, 1878), made doubtful most of these records. The limits of its distribution in the South Easter Pacific is given. |
