Diagnosis: Zaireichthys dorae differs from all the other species of Zaireichthys in the relatively posterior position of the dorsal fin, which is 1.4 times further from the base of the caudal fin than from the snout, compared with 1.5-1.9 in Z. lacustris and 1.7-2.4 in all other species (Ref. 86935). Description: Pectoral fin spine with 4 or 5 large serrae (Ref. 51287). Humeral process moderately long, denticulations poorly developed (Ref. 51287). Neural and hemal processes relatively slender (Ref. 51287). |
