Diagnosis |
Triplophysa qilianensis can be diagnosed by having the following characters: body long, compressed; skin smooth, scaleless; head short (20.1-23.1% of SL); head convex from the position of posterior nostrils; posterior chamber of air bladder completely degenerated; intestine short and in zig-zag shape posterior to stomach; pelvic fin with 2 unbranched rays; caudal fin forked, upper and lower lobes equal in length; and fin tips pointed (Ref. 98798). Description: Dorsal fin iii, 9; Anal fin iii, 6; Pectoral fin i, 10; pelvic fin ii, 7; inner gill rakers 8-9; vertebrae: 4+40-41 (Ref. 98798). |
