Diagnosis

Bars on anal and caudal fins of male. Anal fin of female long, spatulated, and long posterior process of occipital, terminating in narrow posterior extension. Males with numerous rays in dorsal and anal fins. Dorsal-fin rays 25-28 in male, 17-21 in female; anal-fin rays 23-28 in male, 21-24 in female; caudal-fin rays 23-26, caudal fin subtruncate in male, rounded in female (Ref. 49550).
