Diagnosis |
Supraorbital ridge serrate. Pterotic, lower posttemporal, and second suborbital spines replaced by serrate ridges. Nuchal spine with 1 or 2 supplemental spines. Anterior ridge of lacrimal serrate. Orbit diameter 1.70-1.95 in snout length (Ref 42181). Description: Characterized by variable coloration, often blending well with surrounding substrate; small black spots on axil of pectoral fin, inner surface without spots , but first 6-10 rays with black submarginal band across; double upper opercular spine; not giving humpback appearance; snout 3.1-3.5 in head length; occipital and suborbital pits moderately deep; depth of body 2.2-2.5 in SL (Ref. 90102). |
