This species differs in the following characters: 2 post-maxillary processes; D X, 15-16 (usually 15); A III, 11-13 (usually 12); pectoral-fin rays 22-23; lateral-line scales 70-79 (modally 75); circumpeduncular scales 11-13 + 15-16; fusiform and elongate body, its greatest depth 3.4-3.9 in SL; head length (HL) 3.4-3.6 in SL; snout 3.7-4.2 in HL; eye 3.4-4.2 in HL; pectoral-fin length 1.1-1.4 in HL; in life, color is blue to bluish green grading to white on belly, with prominent pair of broad (each covering a maximum of about 4-5 scale rows) yellow stripes, the lower extending from above eye to upper half of caudal-fin base, and the upper from nape to base of posteriormost dorsal-fin rays (Ref. 77031). Pectoral-fin axil spot black; caudal-fin lobes tips dark (Ref. 90102). |
