Distinguished from the other species of the genus by its narrower head, snout and head, hypertrophied lips, very pointed snout and 13 predorsal scales (Ref. 36949). Dorsal fin with 7 branched rays; uniformly dark greenish body in life; caudal fin without noticeable marks (Ref. 43281).
