Diagnosis

Presence of a black distal margin well defined on the caudal fin. Dorsal with 20 to 23 branched rays. Anal with 32 to 34 rays. 23 to 29 prepelvic serrae, 5 to 6 supraneurals in front of the dorsal and 39 to 41 + CP1 vertebrae of which 15 to 16 + CP1 behind the last pterygiophore of the dorsal. Elongated body shape (55 to 70% of LS) and the eye diameter is reduced (6.3 to 12.9% of LS). The dorsal base is short (28.8 to 33% of LS). The adipose fin is rectangular and its base is long (4.3 to 6.2% of LS).
