Description: Characterized by mottled green, brown or reddish brown color; membrane between each pair of caudal fin rays with row of 2-4 dark-edged, large white spots; unbranched pelvic rays; illicium slightly greater than length of second dorsal spine, 13.4-24.8 % SL; smooth illicium without dermal spinules; relatively large esca, cluster of slender filaments; close-set, bifurcate spinules covering skin; no caudal peduncle (Ref. 90102). |
