This species is distinguished by the following characters: vertebrae 28-29; predorsal vertebrae 5; well-developed supraneural bones between the neural spines of the predorsal vertebrae 4; generally unbranched dorsal-fin rays 3; with a snout with a deep ethmoid furrow and well-developed fleshy appendage; a robust, deep-keeled, thick-necked urohyal bone (Ref. 131375). |
