Diagnosis: mouth large, rectangular-shaped, width greater than snout length; snout rounded, shorter than mouth width; premaxillary toothband wide, 27-40% HL; occipital process is well-developed; adipose fin large, base contained 5-8 times in SL and measuring 56-100% of the distance between dorsal and adipose fins; maxillary barbel extremely long, extending beyond dorsal spine and, in some individuals, even beyond end of dorsal fin (Ref. 81642). Description: anal fin with 4-6 unbranched and 9-10 branched soft rays (Ref. 81642). Coloration: preserved specimens: greyish on head and dorsum, white on ventrum (Ref. 81642). |
