Definition of Term

trinomen
(English) According to the Code, the combination of a generic name, a specific name, and a subspecific name, that together constitute a scientific name of a subspecies consisting of three words. (See also: Code, binomen, subspecific name)
trinôme
(French) Selon le Code, combinaison d'un nom générique, d'un nom spécifique et d'un nom subspécifique, qui, ensemble, constituent le nom scientifique d'une sous-espèce. (See also: Code, binomen, subspecific name)
