homocercal
(English) Type of caudal fin in teleosts where the upper and lower lobes are symmetrical ; internally, the major structural elements of the fin are an upturned urostyle that articulates with flattened bones that support the principial fin rays. (See also: teleosts, fins, fin element counts)

(French) Type de nageoire caudale chez les téléostéens où les lobes supérieures et inférieures sont symétriques ; intérieurement, les éléments structurels principaux de la nageoire sont un urostyle retroussé articulant avec des os aplatis qui supportent les rayons principaux de la nageoire.
