Definition of Term

diurnal
(English) Active during day (including courtship and spawning), resting at night. Opposite of nocturnal. [Mainly diurnal: active during day, to a lesser extent also during crepuscular periods and at night; spawning may take place at night.] (See also: nocturnal, deep scattering layer, crepuscular)
