(English) A transverse series of scale rows; scales below lateral line are counted from the origin of the anal fin in an oblique row to the lateral-line scale, but not including the lateral line row; scales above the lateral line are counted fom the origin of the dorsal fin in an oblique row to the lateral line scale, but not including the lateral line row.
