Definition of Term

contour
(English) A line on a chart representing points of equal value with relation to datum. It is called an isobath when connecting points of equal depth below sea level. (See also: isobath, contour interval)
isoligne
(French) Une ligne sur une carte qui représente des points de valeur égale avec relation à une donnée. Il est appelé un isobathe quand les points de profondeur égale en dessous niveau de la mer sont connectés. (See also: isobath, contour interval)
linha isobática
(Portuguese) Linha numa carta que une pontos de igual valor em relação aos dados; diz-se isóbata quando une pontos com a mesma profundidade. (See also: isobath, contour interval)
