Definition of Term

Fushi-rui
(English) Dried strips of fish produced by repeated smouldering and drying after boiling; used as condiment or seasoning for various soups. The term is usually preceded by the name of the fish. (See also: Saba hiraki boshi, Katsuo bushi)
