Conservation
Geography and Climate Comoros consists of 3 main islands and several smaller ones, all of volcanic origin. The islands are variable in topography and include heavily forested hilly terrain, plateaus, lava fields and coastal lowlands. There is a hot humid monsoon season (November to April) and a drier cooler season (May to October). Cyclones and tidal waves are frequent during the summer.
