Περιγραφή There are two important current systems in this area: the cold East Greenland Current (of polar origin), and the warm Irminger Current, which is higher in salinity. These two currents meet southeast of Greenland and flow side by side, with some mixing around Cape Farewell. They turn northward along the west coast of Greenland. (Hovgard and Buch, 1990) (http://www.na.nmfs.gov/lme/text/lme18.htm). Should contain all fishes occurring in Greenland and in FAO area 21 (or Greenland and Canada). Formerly in part of Arctic Archipelago (LME 2008).
