Environment:  pelagic; freshwater; depth range - 0 m
Distribution:  Asia: Thailand and the Mekong to Indonesia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs at the surface in flowing and non-flowing waters (Ref. 12693). Found in medium to large-sized rivers and flooded fields (Ref. 12975). Oviparous (Ref. 205). Eggs may be found attached to objects in the water by tendrils on the egg's surface (Ref. 205).
